Week 5, Day 22 of the CrononaCrazy Day Drills

Friday!!!! Who needs to hear those words besides me? What a wonderful day today has been. Isaac greeted me and said, what are we doing exciting today since we do Friday's differently? We decided we would list out the 10 things we'd like to get through today and then draw cards from a bucket to determine how we would proceed.  Agozzino luck definitely played into this exercise. They drew "Free Time" last. 🤣

As luck would have it, Olivia drew #1 first- Reading. So we got that out of the way early. Along with hot dots and Xtra Math. Even though there were fun extras on the list today, they were doing all the required work first. It was perfect.

The first fun thing we did was dancing. We put Olivia's dance competition songs on and she was working on them. When we got to Acro-dance, she needed a spotter. We were cracking up laughing when I tried to lift her. Isaac assured her he could do it.  So we let them try.  There were way too many laughs, and eventually they came close enough. I called it to stop before someone broke a leg. But it was super fun and funny.

Cooking was also on the list. We got out Olivia's fun kid cupcake cookbook and she picked out making "cupcake sundaes." As you can see in the picture, they turned out super cute and they tasted amazing. I love eating the results of cooking class.

Bring on the weekend!

6 Days of Summer- Cookie Monster

YUMMY Cookies!

Well I had to go back to work today...tear. My summer is over. I think I miss counted 88 days out, because I have it ending next Wednesday....oops. Oh well, I'm this close I'm going to finish it out!

So tonight the kiddos wanted to make cookies when I got home. How could I say no? I hadn't seen them all day and I missed them. Funny how that works. I have only been gone one day. They could ask to make messes or whatever and I'd probably say yes.

It helps that I LOVE chocolate chip cookies. I love the dough just as much as I love the cookies. I always cut the recipe in half so we don't have tons. Otherwise I'd eat way too much, and we don't need cookies for a week, just a dessert for the evening.

Isaac loves cracking the eggs. His favorite part. He's getting really good at it. Olivia just wants to help and really doesn't care how. I put her in charge of dumping in the chocolate chips. I started buying the mini morsels because they're just as good and all the more chocolate in every bite!

They turned out great. They won't last long so if you want to stop by, you better do so fast.

54 Days of Summer- KichenAid Store in Greenville, Ohio

My Candy Shop-

Oh and Kids Can Learn Too!

My first job out of college was working at Elder Beerman during the day and waitressing at night.  I was getting my own apartment in Ada. I couldn't wait to buy my first KitchenAid mixer with my store discount. I saved up and it was the first thing I bought when I moved out on my own. So to find out that the mixer stands are made right here in Ohio, we had to check it out.

In downtown Greenville, Ohio, right next to the visitors bureau, is a KitchenAid retail shop with every color mixer they make. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! The store clerks politely directed me downstairs to check out the museum dedicated to KichenAid mixers made since the 1920s. The kids thought it was really cool. I thought it was neat to see how the mixer has evolved over the years.

They told me that they are gearing up for the end of July when they have their biggest sale of the year. You can bet that I'll be making another trip there for sure. Today we walked away with a cookie sheet (Isaac's pick), spatulas (Olivia's pick), and a little ceramic thing that says it prevents your pots from boiling over (My pick). I'll keep you posted on how well that ends up working. I'm hoping it's the best find ever!
You are going to see in the next post where else we went in Greenville, but this was worth the drive down. There were plenty of super cute shops downtown and we ate at a delicious new restaurant/bar called The Merchant House. Highly recommend checking out Greenville, Ohio!
